HCMC – Ialy Hydropower Company of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) marked a milestone on December 2 by supplying 100 billion kWh of electricity to the national grid, according to the Vietnam News Agency.
EVN’s Ialy Hydropower Company has managed the operation of three hydroelectric power facilities on Se San River in the Central Highlands, namely Ialy, Se San 3 and Pleikrong plants.
The Ialy Hydropower Plant was the primary contributor to the total output, making up approximately 75.5 billion kWh.
The remaining power came from the Se San 3 and the Pleikrong hydropower plants, which produced 19.3 billion kWh and 5.3 billion kWh, respectively.
Doan Tien Cuong, director of Ialy Hydropower Company, said the achievement has mirrored a long-lasting effort by the company for over 22 years.
Ialy Hydropower Company has provided over VND10,000 billion to the national budget.
In addition to producing electricity, the firm is also in charge of managing water distribution for local demand.
Since 2021, EVN has sought to promote digital transformation by integrating advanced technology into its operations, including reliability-centered maintenance, or RCM, in the electrical transformer cores.
Cuong stated that the firm seeks to improve the operational performance of both power generation and business management.
