HCMC – The central coastal province of Khanh Hoa has approved a budget of over VND2 trillion to construct a coastal road from Van Luong Commune, Van Ninh District, to Ninh Hoa Town within the Van Phong Economic Zone.
The 20-kilometer road will create a major route that serves Hon Khoi Port and help alleviate congestion on National Highway 1.
The first component of the project is set to break ground by the end of November 2024. To facilitate the start, the Van Phong Economic Zone Management Board has been tasked with ensuring land clearance is completed on time.
Local authorities are pushing for the completion of feasibility reports for the second and third components, which will address compensation, support, resettlement, and further land clearance requirements.
The 20-km long coastal road will begin at the northern end of Hien Luong 2 Bridge in Van Luong Commune, Van Ninh District, and end at National Highway 26B in Ninh Diem Ward, Ninh Hoa Town. The project is slated for completion within three years.
