Kiss of the Sea – The largest multimedia performance on Phu Quoc Island

HCMC – Sun Group has introduced what is seen as the largest multimedia show on water called “Kiss of the Sea,” which features cutting-edge multimedia technology with the artistry of 60 international performers, and gives tourists a mesmerizing spectacle when coming to the Sunset Town on the southern coast of Phu Quoc Island.

“Kiss of the Sea” is created by ECA2, a French production company with over 30-year-experience in developing more than 60 bespoke spectacles across 17 countries worldwide.

The show features a seawater screen covering a 1,000-square-meter area, making it the world’s largest sea-based theater. The stage is equipped with three consecutive projection domes and employs 300 devices to create a diverse range of special effects, encompassing lighting, flames, water, laser, and pyrotechnics. Notably, every show culminates with a nightly fireworks display.

Julie Cugurno, vice president of operations at ECA2, said that the show is one of the world’s largest outdoor multimedia shows with modern technologies and international artists. All of which will give audiences an unforgettable multi-sensorial experience and deliver a magnificent spectacle to the island of Phu Quoc

“Kiss of the Sea” tells a love story between a young man from Phu Quoc and a girl from the far side of the galaxy who arrives on Earth through a Black Hole. In a tale of love, unity and wonder, main characters must rise to conquer the looming darkness that threatens the safety of Earth and the galaxy. Especially, the traditional art of Vietnamese shadow puppetry has also been skillfully blended into the character design.
