HCMC – The Ministry of Construction has approved a proposal for a domestic consortium of Truong Hai Traffic Infrastructure Development and Son Hai Group to develop phase one of the Dau Giay–Tan Phu expressway under the public-private partnership (PPP) format.

Earlier the Thang Long Project Management Board asked the Ministry of Construction to allow the consortium to get involved in the first phase of the Dau Giay–Tan Phu expressway project.

This phase will need an estimated VND8.4 trillion to developer, with VND7.1 trillion coming from the investors and VND1.3 trillion from the State budget.

Construction work is expected to last 24 months from the date of groundbreaking, and the expressway would be opened to traffic in 2027.

The consortium will be entitled to a toll collection period of almost 17 years as from the start date of toll collection, as proposed by the Thang Long Project Management Board.

The first phase of the Dau Giay–Tan Phu expressway has a total length of 60.2 kilometers, passing through Thong Nhat, Xuan Loc, Dinh Quan and Tan Phu districts in Dong Nai Province.

The expressway will feature four lanes and allow for a maximum speed of 100 kilometers per hour.
