HCMC – Long An authorities have approved the planning for a 466-hectare industrial park in an area that borders HCMC and Tay Ninh Province.

The Loc Giang Industrial Park would encompass three communes in Duc Hoa District, namely Tan My, An Ninh Dong and Loc Giang. It has a section bordering the Thay Cai canal, which serves as a natural boundary between the province and HCMC and Tay Ninh.

The project, developed by Saigon-Northwest Urban Development Joint Stock Company, is built as a multi-industry integrated industrial park with a focus on attracting green industries and those with modern production lines.

This industrial park is expected to fuel economic development in the area that borders HCMC and Tay Ninh, and expand infrastructure for the existing industrial parks in northeastern Long An.

Long An has 35 industrial parks with a total planned area of 9,364.4 hectares and 26 of them are eligible for taking on investment projects, with a combined area of 5,982.1 hectares.

In the first half of this year, Long An attracted 37 foreign direct investment projects worth over US$220 million and 11 domestic projects capitalized at more than VND767 billion.
