HCMC – The HCMC Department of Tourism today, August 31, announced the city’s third tourism promotion program for 2020, introducing a wide range of discounted hotel rooms and tours.
As such, many four- or five-star hotels in HCMC are offering a 50% discount on room rates for guests during the upcoming National Day holiday on September 2.
Vinpearl Luxury Landmark 81 has dropped its room rates by 50%, coupled with a free mooncake making course, Nguoi Lao Dong Online reported.
Room rates at the five-star Grand Hotel on Dong Khoi Street in District 1 have been brought down to VND2.69 million per night for two, inclusive of a free lunch or dinner, a representative of the hotel said, adding that the price has been cut by 30%.
Customers can also enjoy discounted room rates from VND1.5 million per night at the five-star Rex Hotel from now until September 6, with discounts of up to 45% on drinks and food at its restaurants.
Many other luxury hotels, including Park Hyatt, The Odys Boutique, Liberty Central Saigon Centre, Rang Dong, Lotte Saigon, Renaissance Riverside Saigon and Nikko, are also introducing a series of promotional programs and discounted room rates to stimulate tourism.
Through the city’s tourism promotion program, tourists can use the open-top double-decker bus tour service at a discounted price of VND99,000 for children aged between six and 11 and VND149,000 for adults until late December.
Some tourist destinations and venues in the city such as Saigon Skydec at Bitexco Financial Tower, Cu Chi Tunnels and Rung Sac Square are discounting entrance tickets by 30%-50% for groups of 10 people or more.
Apart from this, several major tour operators in the city, including Saigontourist Group, Vietravel, Fiditour and TST Tourist, are rolling out various short-stay tours exploring HCMC and some provinces in the Mekong Delta, Phu Quoc Island, Nha Trang and Con Dao Island.
