HCMC – The Ministry of National Defense will hold a national scientific seminar on April 20 at the HCMC Cadres Academy to mark the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the south and the reunification of the country.
The seminar, themed ““The Great Spring Victory of 1975 and Vietnam’s New Era of Development,” is held by the Ministry of National Defense, in coordination with the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and the HCMC Party Committee.
It will take place at the auditorium of the HCMC Cadres Academy, with around 700 participants, including leaders of the Party, State, and National Assembly, as well as representatives from ministries and central agencies, and scholars.
The seminar will feature presentations by State President Luong Cuong; Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang; Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang; and Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Minister of National Defense Nguyen Tan Cuong.
The seminar will focus on the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising, including its preparation, key developments, and the roles of the participating forces.
A total of 125 papers and speeches have been submitted, with 123 of them selected for an official publication for the seminar.
