HCMC – A new air route connecting Danang, a central coastal city in Vietnam, and Cheongju in South Korea has been launched, providing greater connectivity between the two regions and promoting tourism development for both countries.
The service is operated by Aero K and offers one daily flight, cited the Vietnam News Agency.
The inaugural flight from Cheongju departed at 10:05 p.m. on February 5 and arrived in Danang at 00:45 a.m. The return flight left Danang airport at 2:15 a.m.
Mai Thi Thanh Hai, vice director of the Danang Tourism Promotion Center, highlighted that this new air service will provide additional transportation options for residents traveling between the two destinations.
Currently, Danang receives approximately 25 flights daily from major South Korean cities, including Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Muan, and Cheongju. These flights account for over 50% of the total number of international flights arriving in Danang, further enhancing the city’s connectivity with South Korea.
