Nguyen Phi Long named as new Party secretary of Hoa Binh

HCMC – The Politburo has picked Nguyen Phi Long, a 46-year-old alternate member of the Party Central Committee, as new secretary of the Hoa Binh Province Party Committee in the 2020-2025 tenure, replacing his predecessor Ngo Van Tuan who has assumed the post of deputy auditor general.

Before taking up the new job, Nguyen Phi Long was serving as deputy Party secretary and chairman of the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province.

Truong Thi Mai, member of the Politburo and head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission, yesterday (July 25) handed the appointment decision to Long at a conference held in the northern province of Hoa Binh.

Ngo Van Tuan, deputy auditor general, is also in charge of the State Audit of Vietnam (SAV) as the former auditor general, Tran Sy Thanh, was elected chairman of the Hanoi City People’s Committee, making the post of auditor general vacant for now.
