Nova Consumer registers to make debut on HOSE

HCMC – Nova Consumer, a subsidiary of NovaGroup, has registered to list its shares on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HOSE) under the code NCG, according to HoSE.

With its charter capital of VND1.2 trillion, Nova Consumer will trade some 120 million NCG shares on the HCMC bourse, the local media reported.

In March, Nova Consumer launched its initial public offering at the price of VND44,000 per share. The firm used all the proceeds from the IPO to take over Sunrise Foods Co.

In the first half of 2022, Nova Consumer posted VND2.2 trillion in revenue and VND185 billion in after-tax profit, up 18.2% and 4.1% year-on-year, respectively.

As of June 30, the firm’s total assets were put at VND4.8 trillion, up 31.1% against late 2021.

Regarding stock trading today, September 30, the strong gain of the bluechip group sent the VN-Index of the southern exchange up 6.04 points, or 0.54%, from the session earlier, ending its five-session falling streak. The HCMC exchange saw 192 winners and 264 losers.

Over 729.6 million shares worth VND17.1 trillion changed hands, soaring by 48.5% in volume and 52.6% in value, against the previous session.

In the VN30 basket, 15 stocks were in positive territory, with gas firm GAS reporting the sharpest gain in the basket at 4.8%.

Agricultural firm HAG shot up to its daily upper limit and took the lead by liquidity on bourse with over 31.4 million shares transacted.

On the Hanoi exchange, the HNX-Index added 0.84 points, or 0.34%, from the previous session at 250.25, backed by many large-cap stocks.

Securities firm SHS finished the day up and was still the most actively traded stock on bourse with a matching volume of 11.5 million shares.
