NRC joins hands with Japanese firm to develop housing project

HCMC – Danh Khoi Group JSC, which trades its NRC shares on the Hanoi Stock Exchange, has cut a deal with Japan’s Tokyu to develop the The Meraki luxury resort apartment project in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.

The VND1 trillion project will cover over 3,000 square meters of land in the Chi Linh urban area in Vung Tau City, the local media reported.

Danh Khoi will hold a 51% interest in the project and Tokyu the balance.

The two firms are in the process of preparation to jointly implement the project, which is set to comprise a 29-storey tower with 525 apartment units.

Despite the deal, NRC at the close of the stock trading session lost 2.7% today, July 21  in the bullish market.

The Hochiminh Stock Exchange maintained its upward spiral, with the VN-Index gaining 4.33 points, or 0.35%, from the session earlier, at 1,198.47 at the close. There were 197 winners and 247 losers.

Over 530 million shares worth VND12.1 trillion changed hands, down 18% in volume and 14% in value against the previous session.

Steelmaker HPG was the most actively traded stock on the southern bourse, with over 23 million shares changing hands.

On the Hanoi bourse, many large-cap stocks lost steam, sending the HNX-Index down 0.77 points, or 0.27%, from the day earlier, at 288.09.
