Party General Secretary To Lam visits Xuan Hoa Ward in HCMC

HCMC – Party General Secretary To Lam today, June 29, made a field visit to Xuan Hoa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), as the southern city is gearing up for the official announcement of the two-level local government system on June 30.

Also joining Party General Secretary To Lam were HCMC Party Secretary Nguyen Van Nen, Permanent Deputy Party Secretary of HCMC Nguyen Thanh Nghi, HCMC Deputy Party Secretary and Chairman of the HCMC Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Phuoc Loc, and leaders from various departments and District 3.

They assessed the infrastructure, personnel arrangements, and organizational preparations at the Xuan Hoa Ward Public Administration Service Center.

Lam urged them to enhance their sense of responsibility to ensure the new administrative system operates effectively and seamlessly.

He emphasized the importance of promoting online public administrative procedures to make life easy for both citizens and officials, while encouraging the staff to strengthen their application of technology to adapt to the new operational framework and guide residents in using online public services proficiently.

On June 30, HCMC will hold a ceremony at the HCMC Cadre Academy to announce the National Assembly resolutions on the establishment of the new HCMC, formed by merging Binh Duong, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, and the existing HCMC.

The event will also include announcements of the Politburo’s decisions on establishing the HCMC Party Committee, appointing its Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, and Deputy Secretaries of the HCMC Party Committee, as well as the appointment decisions for the Inspection Commission of the HCMC Party Committee.

The National Assembly Standing Committee resolutions on key positions in the HCMC People’s Council, and HCMC Delegation of National Assembly deputies will be announced.

The leadership of the People’s Committee of the new HCMC will be named following the appointment decisions by the prime minister.

The Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front’s decision on the establishment of the HCMC Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee will be announced as well.
