Pensions to increase by 7.4% from next year

HCMC – Pensions will be revised up 7.4% from January 1, 2022, according to the Government’s Decree 108 issued today, December 7, on pension, social insurance allowance and monthly subvention adjustments.

Those who have a monthly subvention, pension and social insurance allowance of less than VND2.3 million will receive an additional VND200,000 each per month, while those whose monthly allowances are between VND2.3 million and under VND2.5 million will get VND2.5 million each per month.

Beneficiary groups include former public officials, civil servants, laborers, military and police personnel and cipher workers; communal officials receiving pensions and monthly allowances in line with the Government’s decrees 92, 121 and 09; and persons receiving monthly allowances for their loss of working capacity and rubber workers getting monthly allowances.

In addition, communal officials receiving monthly allowances in line with the Government’s Decision 130; military personnel receiving monthly allowances in line with Decisions 142 and 38; police officers receiving monthly allowances in line with the prime minister’s Decision 53; military personnel, police officers, cipher workers receiving pensions in line with the prime minister’s Decision 62; and persons receiving monthly allowances for labor accidents or occupational diseases will also benefit from the adjustment.

The decree will come into force from January 20, 2022, the local media reported.
