HCMC – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has called for an acceleration of work on the 500kV circuit-3 power transmission line, emphasizing that it must be ready for inauguration by September 2, the country’s National Day.
During a meeting held yesterday, August 13, with officials from Ha Tinh and Nghe An provinces, the PM reviewed the progress of the 500kV circuit-3 power transmission line project, particularly the section from Quang Trach in Quang Binh Province to Pho Noi in Hung Yen Province.
The Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) reported that land clearance has been fully completed, with material supply and support tower construction reaching 98.5% and 62.5%, respectively. EVN is pushing to finalize the last three sub-projects of the 500kV circuit-3 line, aiming to energize it by August 25.
However, the report highlighted several challenges, especially in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces, as well as issues related to manpower and adverse weather conditions.
PM Chinh has directed all relevant units to intensify their efforts to overcome these hurdles and ensure that the project is completed on schedule, allowing for its timely inauguration on National Day.
