HCMC – Prenn Pass, the primary gateway to Dalat City in the Central Highlands, will be reopened to traffic at 8 a.m. tomorrow, January 31, following an expansion project.

The reopening of the entire pass comes after a thorough inspection by the Lam Dong Traffic Project Management Board, which assessed the necessary conditions for reopening the section stretching from Prenn Bridge to Dantala Waterfall.

The board has confirmed that the construction of this section has been successfully completed, with quality, traffic safety measures, and the lighting system meeting the standards. The permitted speed during this time will be 60 kilometers per hour.

The 7.36-kilometer Prenn Pass commenced expansion on February 10, 2023 at total cost of over VND552 billion. On December 14, 2023, a section from Dantala Waterfall to the end of the route was opened to traffic.

The full reopening of Prenn Pass before the Lunar New Year will facilitate travels of residents and tourists, as the pass had been closed for expansion for nearly a year.
