THUA THIEN HUE – The Saigon Times Group and the Saigon Times Club today, May 25, presented 12 sets of outdoor fitness equipment to Thua Thien Hue Province’s Hue City through the Saigon Times – Great Circle program, which has been conducted over the past three years.
Through the program, under the theme “For the public health”, 12 sets of outdoor exercise equipment are placed and put into use at Kim Long Park in Hue.
The activity has been applauded by the government of Hue City and the provincial Department of Tourism. Following the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and the improvement of the park’s infrastructure, the outdoor fitness equipment will contribute to diversifying activities to improve public health in the city and spreading the green and healthy lifestyle.
The funding for the outdoor fitness equipment was contributed by benefactors and readers of the Saigon Times Group and members of the Market and Startup-Innovation Clubs, the affiliated clubs of the Saigon Times Club.
With the message of “Let’s act for a green, clean and bright Thua Thien Hue”, Hue City has revitalized the urban landscape, with Kim Long Park and a path along the Huong (Perfume) River being a highlight.
Tran Minh Hung, editor-in-chief of the Saigon Times Group, said the activity proved the group’s commitment to accompany Hue City and Thua Thien Hue Province as a whole during the socioeconomic development process, the improvement of public health and the development of a healthy environment.
Earlier, the Saigon Times Group and its partners and readers had coordinated with the local authorities to hold many interesting and meaningful activities in the province, such as the “Heritage and You” photo exhibition to promote the province’ tourism, and the donation of necessities and cash to pandemic-hit residents.
