HCMC – Saigon Telecom and Tech (Saigontel) and its partners have recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) cementing their cooperation with local authorities in the Mekong Delta province of Long An to promote energy solutions and green infrastructure development.

The MOU signing took place during a conference on investment promotion and the unveiling of the 2021-2030 development master plan, with a vision for 2050, in Long An Province. The event was held on July 25.

Under this partnership, Saigontel and its Green Infrastructure Alliance partners, which include Energy Capital Vietnam, Allotrope Partners, Chart Industries, and Babcock&Wilcox, will work together to conduct research and implement energy solutions and green infrastructure projects in Saigontel’s industrial zones within the province.

In the initial phase, the focus will be laid on establishing a green industrial zone model and reducing carbon footprints in Tan Tap and Nam Tan Tap industrial parks. The goal is to achieve global net-zero standards, certified by renowned international agencies.

By pursuing this strategy, both parties aim to realize the net-zero emissions target for Long An Province by 2050 while supporting local authorities in attracting capital for sustainable and eco-friendly development.

Saigontel is a subsidiary of Saigon Invest Group, which specializes in industrial, urban and service ecosystem development.
