Thailand holds festival of lights in town

HCMC – Thailand’s festival of lights Loy Krathong took place in HCMC on the evening of November 24.

The event was organized by the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam, and attended by Thai nationals and businesses in Vietnam.

Festival-goers had an opportunity to immerse themselves in various Thai products, food and drinks, music and traditional dances. Adding to the excitement, attendees engaged in a lucky draw.

In addition,  the Noppamas contest took place during the event. Participants in this contest sang and danced.

Especially, the festival witnessed a captivating display as attendants came to gather to release krathong (floating lanterns) crafted from coconut shells adorned with candles, incense, and flowers onto the water.
