European Christmas charity market attracts large crowds

HCMC – The European Christmas Charity Market has been opened at the French Residence in District 1, HCMC, with hundreds of people coming on November 25.

The event is being jointly held by the consulates general of France, Germany, Hungary, Italy and the Netherlands.

This is the first time the EU Christmas Charity Market has been organized in the city. It is aimed at bringing the European Christmas atmosphere.

Visitors have the opportunity to try traditional Christmas cakes and wine, and drop by EU handicraft and decoration booths.

As part of the event, the five consuls general extended wishes in their languages and sang carols together with attendees and a choir, creating a festive atmosphere filled with unity and holiday cheers.

All of the proceeds from the event will go to five charity organizations in Vietnam: Deutsche Cleft Kinderhilfe e.V., E-ducare, Heart Institute of HCMC, Ba Chieu Orphanage and Song Foundation.
