HCMC – Tran Hoang Na Bridge, a crucial infrastructure project in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho, will be opened to traffic by the end of April in commemoration of the country’s Reunification Day (April 30).
Nguyen Van Tho, deputy director of the board, said the contractor is working diligently to complete a major intersection and linking roads leading to the bridge on time, the local media reported.
The bridge, linking Ninh Kieu and Cai Rang districts, underwent a technical opening on December 30, 2023. Work on the bridge commenced in September 2020 at a cost exceeding VND791 billion.
The project, part of Can Tho’s development and urban resilience enhancement initiative, is expected to enhance connectivity between downtown Can Tho and the city’s southeastern parts, while also improving its riverfront architectural landscape.
