HCMC – Truecoop Organic Cashew Cooperative has recently announced a partnership with Viet Haus Co., Ltd. and Germany’s Cha Do Teehandels Gmbh to produce and supply organic roselle flowers and pineapples.

The partnership has built upon Truecoop’s existing 4,000 hectares of organic cashew farms, established in the south-central province of Ninh Thuan since 2017. By intercropping roselle and pineapple with cashew trees, the project aims to optimize land use, promote biodiversity, and enhance soil fertility.

The initial phase of the intercropping project is in Ma Noi Commune in Ninh Son District. Truecoop and its partners aim to replicate this model across Ninh Thuan Province within the next decade, creating a diverse organic agricultural area.

Both Viet Haus and Cha Do cited Truecoop’s dedication to sustainable farming and its focus on improving farmers’ livelihood as key factors in their decision. The project is expected to provide additional income sources for local farmers, contributing to poverty reduction and economic development in the region.

Truecoop has embraced organic farming with large-scale cultivation in Ninh Thuan Province.

The cooperative is actively investing in workforce training and development, establishing model organic farms, and researching soil improvement techniques in collaboration with Helvetas, a Swiss development organization.
