Two die in apartment fire in HCMC

HCMC – A fire erupted at the Carillon apartment building on Luy Ban Bich Street in HCMC’s Tan Phu District at dawn today, March 23, leaving two people dead.

At 4.15 a.m. on the day, the blaze broke out at an apartment on the 10th floor of the building after a blast, quickly sweeping through its balcony, leading to a mother and her daughter, aged 42 and 18, getting stuck in their apartment.

Many fire trucks and firefighters were dispatched to the scene to rescue the people trapped and extinguish the blaze.

However, due to the heat, the two jumped from the apartment fire and died, the local media reported.

The flames burnt the apartment and blackened two floors above.

The fire occurred after the mother used petrol to burn her bedroom, according to the police.
