Two killed, six injured in two road accidents in central Vietnam

HCMC – Two tragic road accidents occurred in the central province of Phu Yen, leaving two dead and six injured, including five foreigners, according to local news reports.

The first accident took place in the early hours of March 21 on National Highway 1D, passing through Dong Hoa Town.

A passenger bus traveling from South to North collided with a truck in the opposite direction. The truck driver, Nguyen Sang, from Binh Dinh Province, died, while the bus driver, Vu Thanh Viet, from Dong Nai Province, sustained a broken leg.

A Vietnamese and five foreigners were injured and hospitalized.

In the second incident, which occurred around 5:50 p.m. on March 20, a passenger car traveling from North to South on National Highway 1 collided with a truck after the passenger car abruptly crossed the median strip.

The truck driver, Huynh Van Quang, from Quang Ngai City, was killed.
