Vietnam Golf Coast (VGC) is preparing for a landmark year in 2026, banking on growing international demand, expanded air connectivity and rising confidence in Vietnam’s broader economic outlook.
The region’s golf sector has benefited from steady growth in long-haul markets as Vietnam attracts increased attention from global travelers and investors. Direct and expanded flight connections into Danang International Airport, combined with luxury resorts, beaches and cultural attractions, have helped position Central Vietnam as one of Asia’s leading golf destinations.
“Central Vietnam has built strong, sustained momentum over recent years,” said Simon Mees, general manager of Ba Na Hills Golf Club, which will mark its 10th anniversary in 2026. Since opening in 2016, the club has won multiple international awards, including five consecutive World Golf Awards for Asia’s Best Golf Course.
Alongside Montgomerie Links, Ba Na Hills anchors a cluster of championship courses designed by leading figures such as Luke Donald, Colin Montgomerie, Greg Norman and Sir Nick Faldo. Montgomerie Links recorded a 17% market share in 2025, driven largely by European, U.S., Australian and New Zealand golfers.
VGC plans to deepen promotion in Australia and New Zealand while expanding outreach to China, India and Japan. A packed 2026 calendar of cultural events, including the Danang International Fireworks Festival, is expected to further boost the destination’s appeal.
