HCMC – A batch of one million doses of China’s Vero Cell Covid-19 vaccine arrived at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCMC this morning, August 28.
This is the last batch of the five million doses that the Ministry of Health allowed the Saigon Pharmaceutical Company or Sapharco to import with the sponsorship of HCMC-based Van Thinh Phat Group, Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper reported.
HCMC will soon transport the batch to cold storage facilities and distribute the vaccine to Thu Duc City and other districts.
The city received the first batch of the Vero Cell vaccine on July 31.
As of August 25, HCMC had administered more than 885,000 Vero Cell doses to local residents and all those vaccinated are safe.
