HCMC – Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, has ordered a stable fuel supply and price management to safeguard the economy and social order.
On behalf of the Politburo, he signed Conclusion No. 14-KL/TW which requires the urgent development of a national strategic fuel supply and reserve strategy amid global energy volatility and Middle East tensions.
Other measures include deploying a comprehensive toolkit of fiscal and monetary policies such as tax adjustments and interest rate supports while strictly cracking down on smuggling, hoarding, and trade fraud.
Following this high-level mandate, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has ordered the Ministry of Industry and Trade to work with the Ministry of Finance to rapidly expand national petroleum reserves and establish a systematic network of large-scale storage facilities nationwide.
He emphasized that there must be no energy shortages, ensuring that fuel supplies remain uninterrupted under any circumstances to serve the nation’s GDP growth target of over 10% for 2026.
