HCMC – Vietnam’s National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, during his official visit to Australia at the Vietnam-Australia Economic Cooperation Forum held at RMIT University in Melbourne, affirmed that economic, trade and investment relations were key parts of the relationship between the two countries.

Hue stated that Australia was Vietnam’s 10th largest trading partner, while Vietnam had also emerged as Australia’s seventh largest trading partner.

On the one hand, Vietnam hoped Australian businesses would continue to expand investment in Vietnam in human resource training, digital transformation, and high-tech agriculture, he said, adding Vietnam also wants Vietnamese businesses to do more business in Australia.

In 2023, the two countries will celebrate the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations and the fifth anniversary of the strategic partnership.
