HCMC – Tran Lam Nam Bao, a local twelfth grader who went viral on the Internet for his trial work of redesigning the covers of Vietnam’s textbooks, has won the RMIT Vietnam Creativity Scholarship 2022.

Bao was impressed with RMIT Vietnam’s prestigious scholarships, which piqued his curiosity to learn more about the programs. He later went on to win the partial-tuition Creativity Scholarship.

Bao shared his difficulties while applying for the scholarship, saying that proving his creative potential through a portfolio was the most challenging.

He also had only three weeks to complete the four main tasks prior to the scholarship program, including obtaining the IELTS certificate, creating a portfolio, reviewing the Vietnamese university entrance test, and carrying out his own project.

He cleverly integrated his personal stories into a blog-form portfolio featuring how he brought fresh air into the academic environment, went viral with the project, and concluded with his desire to study at RMIT Vietnam.
