HCMC – Authorities in Vung Tau Ward, HCMC, on August 5 announced three urban planning projects to develop housing, tourism and healthcare infrastructure.

The plans cover the Cu Lao Ben Dinh urban area, the Thuy Van coastal tourism complex and the Vung Tau Central Hospital, according to the People’s Committee of Vung Tau Ward.

The Cu Lao Ben Dinh project spans nearly 111 hectares and is expected to house more than 11,000 residents. It will include residential areas, commercial services, tourism facilities and office space.

The Thuy Van project, located at 155-165 Thuy Van Street, involves a planned adjustment for 14,000 square meters of its 73,000-square-metre site. It will replace three hotel and villa blocks with two 30-storey hotel-apartment towers and a four-storey service building in one zone, and upgrade a five-storey apartment block to a 20-storey building in another.

The Vung Tau Central Hospital plan calls for construction on nearly two hectares, with a maximum of five floors and one basement level. It aims to provide a legal basis for expanding medical capacity and upgrading facilities.
