HCMC – The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) is partnering with the Green Energy and Sustainability Alliance (GESA), a SEMI Industry Group, to introduce the Energy Taiwan and Net-Zero Taiwan 2023 exhibition which features latest innovations and collaborative opportunities.
The event is scheduled to take place from October 18 to 20 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1 (TaiNEX 1) in Taiwan. Experts and representatives from the renewable energy industry, public sector, academia, and research organizations will convene at the event to explore ways to boost green energy production, identify new business prospects, and introduce innovative net-zero solutions.
“Participation in this year’s event has grown by nearly 30%, with more than 350 companies gathering to demonstrate Green Strength and Net-zero Competitiveness,” said Simon Wang, President and CEO of TAITRA at the pre-event press conference held on October 16. This creates a one-stop green energy production management and net-zero solution display platform.
Terry Tsao, Global Chief Marketing Officer and President of SEMI Taiwan, said that global investments in renewable energy are on the rise. He stressed the urgency for companies to embark on the net-zero transformation without delay to mitigate the impact of global climate change.
The three-day exhibition will feature four forums, including the Smart Energy Storage Forum, Net-Zero Taiwan International Summit, Solar Power Technology Symposium, and Energy Transition: Toward a Sustainable Future Forum.
According to Taiwan statistics, the average annual growth rate of Taiwan’s installed renewable energy capacity over the past five years has reached 21.9%, surpassing the global average of 9.1%. Taiwan continues to promote solar power, wind power, energy storage, and various emerging power sources while encouraging the development of rising or high-potential energy sources such as hydrogen, marine, and geothermal energy.
