HCMC – The HCMC People’s Committee has greenlit a plan to support nearly 2,000 innovation and startup initiatives from 2024 to 2028.
The plan is aimed at cultivating a sustainable and thriving startup ecosystem in the city by extending assistance to projects across various developmental stages.
Key objectives encompass supporting over 1,000 pre-incubation projects, aiding more than 700 projects in the incubation phase, and facilitating the growth of over 200 projects in the acceleration stage while linking them with potential investors.
This endeavor will entail a wide array of events and activities tailored to bolster innovation and startups, including annual competitions, pitching events, and opportunities to participate in exhibitions and conferences.
The Department of Science and Technology (DoST) has been tasked with coordinating with relevant agencies to execute the plan.
With the goal of fostering a vibrant and dynamic startup ecosystem, HCMC will be able to attract investment and fuel economic growth.
