T&T Group’s mission to uplift lives

T&T Group is a diversified private conglomerate with three decades of development. Throughout its journey, T&T Group has carried the mission of accompanying and supporting the poor, besides initiatives to promote education, sports, and more.

A roof over every head: housing the vulnerable

In early April 2025, to continue supporting the Government and the Ministry of Public Security in the program to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated houses for disadvantaged households nationwide, T&T Group and Saigon Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB) jointly provided funding to build 700 houses for poor and near-poor households in Bac Lieu Province, with a total contribution of VND42 billion.

Bac Lieu is home to many ethnic minority communities, with the majority of its population relying on agriculture. The province also frequently suffers from natural disasters such as drought, saltwater intrusion, and river and coastal erosion, making life especially difficult. Currently, Bac Lieu still has nearly 3,900 poor households and nearly 7,000 near-poor households, about 1,758 of which urgently need safe housing.

Given the province’s limited local resources, at the beginning of 2025, the Ministry of Public Security initiated a program to support Bac Lieu by constructing 700 houses for poor and near-poor households. Demonstrating strong corporate social responsibility to improve sustainable society and a desire to contribute resources to help the people of Bac Lieu stabilize their lives with safe, sturdy homes, T&T Group and SHB decided to join the Ministry in this “Eliminating Makeshift and Dilapidated Housing” program.

Speaking at the house handover event, Nguyen Anh Tuan, deputy general director of T&T Group, said that over 32 years of development, alongside business activities aimed at sustainable economic development, T&T Group and SHB have consistently prioritized social welfare efforts, especially those supporting disadvantaged communities.

“Through this program, T&T Group and SHB hope to demonstrate social responsibility and solidarity, joining hands to help poor and near-poor households, as well as other disadvantaged individuals in Bac Lieu Province, secure safe and solid homes, thereby stabilizing their lives and focusing on production to improve their economic conditions,”  Tuan said.

In November 2024, T&T Group and SHB partnered with the Ministry of Public Security to build 150 homes and one school for children of ethnic minorities. The beneficiaries were provinces severely impacted by Typhoon Yagi, including Son La, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Dien Bien, Yen Bai, Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, and Thai Nguyen.

Speaking at the donation event, Do Quang Hien, founder and chairman of T&T Group, affirmed that alongside its investment and business activities, T&T Group, SHB, SHS, and other companies in the T&T ecosystem are always ready to accompany the Government and localities in social welfare programs. In the future, the Group intends to work with the Vietnam Fatherland Front to look into conditions in remote areas with schools, hospitals, and homes in need of rebuilding, thus continuing to support students’ educational journeys. Particularly, for children who lost their parents or whose parents are incapacitated due to storms and floods, T&T Group pledged to provide full sponsorship and care until they complete university education.

Over the years, T&T Group, SHB and businesses led by Do Quang Hien have donated trillions of Vietnam dong to support the poor and vulnerable in society, constructing solidarity houses and eliminating makeshift and dilapidated housing in many mountainous and border provinces.

In October 2024, during a national program to eliminate makeshift homes for poor and near-poor households, SHB donated VND100 billion to Soc Trang Province, helping advance the national goal of eliminating such housing by the end of 2025.

With the philosophy “Business development goes hand in hand with social responsibility,” T&T Group, SHB and affiliates have donated trillions of Vietnam dong through the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support disadvantaged communities, assist in disaster recovery, and build solidarity houses across mountainous and border provinces.

Notable efforts include the donation of 1,000 gratitude houses worth a combined VND60 billion for the poor in Ha Giang Province, and the contribution of VND25 billion to build solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien Province.

At the end of 2024, in Hanoi, the Academy of Policy and Development held its 2024–2025 academic year opening ceremony, during which a representative from T&T Group awarded scholarships worth a total of VND300 million to outstanding students from disadvantaged backgrounds at the academy.

T&T Group aims to use this initiative to encourage, motivate, and provide additional resources to help students excel in their studies and continue pursuing their passions to build a future career successfully. T&T Group hopes that the scholarships awarded will offer students better learning conditions, inspiring them to overcome challenges and become exemplary young talents who will contribute to the country’s economic development in the future.

Sports sponsorship

Besides supporting the poor and granting scholarships to students, another key CSR activity of T&T Group is sponsoring sports development initiatives.

In January this year, Hanoi city held a ceremony to commend and reward athletes from Hanoi who achieved outstanding results at the 2024 ASEAN Football Championship (ASEAN Cup). The event honored the efforts and contributions of players from Hanoi FC and Hanoi Police FC to the success of Vietnamese football in the tournament.

At the ceremony, T&T Group and SHB announced a reward totaling VND4.4 billion for 10 players from Hanoi FC and Hanoi Police FC. Specifically, seven players each received VND500 million, while three other players each received VND300 million.

Along with VND2 billion already awarded by SHB to the Vietnamese national team at a ceremony held by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) right after winning the 2024 ASEAN Cup, Chairman of T&T Group Do Quang Hien gave a total reward of VND6.4 billion to Vietnam coach Kim Sang-sik and his players.

Beyond football rewards, in November 2024, T&T Group also committed VND45 billion in sponsorship over five years to the Thai Nguyen Women’s Football Club.

It is known that several years ago, after reading news reports about the struggles faced by the Thai Nguyen women’s football team, including the risk of disbandment, T&T Group’s leadership decided to step in and support the team. T&T Group decided to sponsor the Thai Nguyen Women’s Football Club comprehensively for five years, raising the minimum player salary to VND6 million/month for each female footballer from previous levels of only VND1.5 million to VND2 million and ensuring that key players received salaries from VND10 million/month upwards.

Following five years of successful partnership marked by positive outcomes and a model of sports socialization, the two sides agreed to extend their cooperation for another cycle with stronger ambitions. The new five-year sponsorship contract is valued at VND9 billion per year, tripling the initial sponsorship signed in 2019. The total funding for this renewed contract amounts to VND45 billion.

The resources and long-term commitment from T&T Group are expected to provide peace of mind to the Thai Nguyen women’s football coaches and players, helping them focus on building their careers and bringing glory to Vietnamese football.
