HCMC – Gia Lai Province will roll out a list of around 170 projects calling for investment in 2026, targeting sectors ranging from industry and infrastructure to agriculture, energy and services, according to local authorities.

The projects are positioned as next-generation investments aligned with the provincial master plan and development priorities centered on green growth and the circular economy, the Investment Promotion Center of Gia Lai Province (IPC Gia Lai) said.

Industrial production and deep processing account for the largest share, with 73 projects focused on agricultural, forestry and fishery processing, supporting industries and construction materials. Authorities said Gia Lai’s extensive raw material base in the Central Highlands, combined with access to seaports, economic zones and logistics infrastructure in the coastal region, offers a competitive advantage for industrial investors.

The province is also promoting 45 projects related to industrial zone and cluster infrastructure, along with 40 projects in high-tech agriculture and renewable energy. Other sectors include real estate, trade and services, healthcare, education and energy.

Projects are allocated down to the commune and ward level, with one to three projects assigned to each area based on local strengths.

To improve the investment climate, the provincial chairman has approved an operational framework for a business support hotline, effective from early this year. Through two dedicated phone numbers: +84913475933 and +84906531404, investor concerns are to be received and handled under a seven-step process, with relevant agencies required to respond or report results to provincial leaders within one working day.

Gia Lai has also shortened the time needed to issue business registration certificates from three days to three hours. Companies are now allowed to submit applications regardless of administrative boundaries, a move aimed at reducing costs and processing time.

According to IPC Gia Lai, the province will prioritize completing infrastructure and raising occupancy rates at existing economic zones and industrial parks. Key areas include the Le Thanh International Border Gate Economic Zone and the Becamex–VSIP Industrial, Urban and Service Complex. Preparations are also underway for major industrial zones such as Phu My, Hoai My, Cat Trinh, Binh Nghi, Nam Pleiku, Dak Doa and areas surrounding the Le Thanh border gate.

In 2025, the province, including the former Gia Lai and Binh Dinh localities, attracted 192 projects with total registered capital of nearly VND160 trillion. Foreign direct investment accounted for more than US$1.4 billion across 16 projects.

By sector, industry led with 86 projects and nearly VND43 trillion in registered capital. Construction and infrastructure followed with 25 projects, including power transmission and industrial zone infrastructure, totaling more than VND62.5 trillion.
