HCMC – Ly Son Island and Mang Den are among the most searched destinations by Vietnamese travelers for the 2026 summer holiday season, according to digital travel platform Agoda.
The company reported rising interest in destinations centered on nature, culture and quieter travel experiences, reflecting demand for more personalized trips and less crowded locations.
Ly Son tops Agoda’s list of emerging domestic destinations, with searches rising sharply from a year earlier. The island draws attention for its beaches, volcanic landscapes, coral reefs and slower pace of life.
Agoda described Ly Son as an alternative to established beach destinations such as Phu Quoc and Vinh Hy.
Ninh Binh remains among the most searched domestic destinations due to its mix of natural scenery and heritage sites. Popular attractions include the ancient capital of Hoa Lu and Tam Coc – Bich Dong.
The province is home to the Trang An Landscape Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that continues to attract travelers interested in nature and history.
In northern Vietnam, Mai Chau remains popular due to its proximity to Hanoi, mild weather and quiet setting. Terraced rice fields, stilt houses and local culture are among the main attractions.
Mang Den also gains attention as a highland destination with a cool climate and pine forests. Agoda noted that the area is increasingly viewed as an alternative to Dalat.
The report also highlighted growing interest in lesser-known destinations and nature-based tourism among Vietnamese travelers.
Tay Ninh is on the list due to its proximity to HCMC and the growth of spiritual tourism. The province is home to Ba Den Mountain, a major pilgrimage and ecotourism site.
