ACB to pay 20% dividend

HCMC – Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (HOSE: ACB) will pay a 20% dividend for 2025, including 7% in cash and 13% in shares, and plans to raise its charter capital to more than VND58 trillion.

The bank set June 16 as the record date for shareholders eligible for the dividend, with the ex-rights date on June 15.

ACB will use VND10.27 trillion for the dividend payment, funded by accumulated undistributed consolidated profits as of December 31, 2025, after reserve allocations.

The cash dividend is scheduled for payment on June 23.

To pay the stock dividend, ACB plans to issue an additional 667.77 million shares. The issuance will increase its charter capital from VND51.37 trillion to VND58.04 trillion.

For 2026, ACB targets growth of 16% in total assets, credit, and deposits. The bank also aims to raise consolidated pre-tax profit by 14% from the previous year to an estimated VND22.27 trillion.

Closing the trading session today, June 5, ACB edged down 0.38% to VND26,150, with over 28.9 million shares changing hands.

The VN-Index rose 7.35 points, or 0.4%, to 1,838.9 on Friday, but still posted a third consecutive weekly decline after losing 24.59 points over the week.

On the Hochiminh Stock Exchange, 95 stocks advanced while 203 others fell. Trading volume reached nearly 503 million shares worth VND13.8 trillion, down more than 16% in volume and 37% in value from the previous session. Block deals accounted for 58.6 million shares valued at VND1.62 trillion.

Shares of VIC provided the biggest boost to the benchmark index, rising 3.4% to VND207,000 and contributing more than 11 points to the VN-Index.

VJC also gained momentum late in the session, hitting its ceiling price of VND184,600. Trading volume in the stock reached nearly 1.8 million shares.

The VN30 basket showed mixed performance, with limited price changes among most constituents. Banking stocks SHB and TPB were the most actively traded shares on HOSE, with matched volumes of 55.9 million and 28.6 million shares, respectively.

Among mid- and small-cap stocks, HSL and C32 surged to their daily upper limits, while CRE gained more than 6% to VND7,860.

TPC and VNE remained among the biggest decliners, falling 5% to VND6,410 and VND2,680, respectively.

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index stayed near its intraday low throughout the session, pressured by large-cap stocks THD and KSF. The index closed down 11.07 points, or 3.63%, at 293.79. The northern exchange recorded 46 winners and 78 losers, with trading volume exceeding 57.5 million shares worth VND847.1 billion.
