HCMC – The local health authority of Quang Nam Province has confirmed that seven Covid-19 patients made a full recovery and were released from local hospitals, Mai Van Muoi, deputy director of the provincial Health Department, said today, September 1.
Among these seven cases, five— aged between 9 and 66—received treatment at the Quang Nam Central General Hospital. The remaining two, aged 66 and 35, were undergoing treatment at the Quang Nam Regional General Hospital.
After being discharged from the hospitals, they will continue to remain in home quarantine for another 14 days as regulated by the Health Ministry.
Earlier, the two hospitals had discharged 10 other patients who recovered from Covid-19 on August 28.
With the latest recoveries, the health authority of this central province has released 29 patients who have recovered and is providing treatment to 70 active cases.
In related news, the local authorities lifted the lockdown imposed on a residential area in An My Ward, Tam Ky City. The area was temporarily locked down from August 18 to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus as it was linked to a Covid-19 confirmed patient, who works at the Quang Nam Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
Further, the government of Tam Ky City asked local residents there not to gather in large numbers to celebrate the removal of the lockdown.
