The Hue Nam (a.k.a. Hon Chen) Palace Festival, held from August 5 to 7, attracted not only pilgrims but also tourists, domestic and foreign alike, as they discovered the nuances of the traditional festival in the ancient capital.

The festival, held annually in July, started at the Thien Tien Thanh Giao Holy Palace at 352 Chi Lang Street in Hue City. Hundreds of fellow believers, local people and tourists, got together on the early morning of August 5 to attend the ceremony.

They also joined the procession with nearly a hundred beautifully decorated dragon boats going upstream of the Perfume River toward the Hue Nam Palace.
