HCMC – Bamboo Capital, whose BCG shares are traded on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange, has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with two Taiwanese firms, Foxlink and Micro Electricity, to develop renewable energy.
Under the agreement, Bamboo Capital Group, Foxlink, and Micro Electricity will establish a joint venture in Singapore by the end of June next year.
This company will serve as a platform to develop advanced technologies, such as Energy Storage Systems (ESS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and Energy Blockchain Technology (EBT).
The three parties will choose a suitable renewable energy project from Bamboo Capital’s investment portfolio to establish a pilot model for operating and maintaining photovoltaic (PV O&M) systems and smart energy management systems (EMS), with an estimated capacity of 100 to 300 MWp.
They will also promote carbon credit services and international renewable energy certificates (IREC).
In the first phase of collaboration, Bamboo Capital Group, Micro Electricity, and Foxlink will focus on developing the joint venture and implementing green energy solutions, particularly projects under the direct power purchase agreement (DPPA) mechanism, to meet the growing demand for green energy in the high-tech industry in Vietnam.
