Binh Dong Wharf flower market lures crowds of Tet revelers

HCMC – Crowds of residents and tourists have come to the flower market along the Binh Dong Wharf in District 8, HCMC, to indulge in the festive ambiance and purchase flowers for their homes as the Lunar New Year holiday is approaching.

The Tet 2024 flower market at Binh Dong Wharf runs from January 25 to February 9, corresponding to the 15th to the 30th of the final lunar month. Its grand opening took place last night, February 4, on Binh Dong Street.

This year, the flower market features 500-600 stalls showcasing and selling fresh flowers and ornamental plants from Mekong Delta provinces, such as Ben Tre, Tien Giang, Vinh Long and Dong Thap.

A wide array of flowers, including yellow apricot blossoms, daisies, chrysanthemums, and sunflowers, are available for sale. Prices for various types of flowers and ornamental plants range from VND150,000 to several million Vietnamese dong.

This year’s flower market also hosts several booths presenting unique products from different parts of the nation, such as dragon fruits from Vinh Long Province, Lai Vung pink pomelos, Cao Lanh mangoes from Dong Thap Province, and eye-catching fruits and vegetables from Dalat City.
