HCMC – HCMC’s Binh Tan District is set to open its first trading and service quarter on Vanh Dai Trong Street on January 31.
Located on one of the busiest streets in the district, this trading and service quarter will become a modern business hub rather than a traditional food street.
The launch of this commercial quarter is part of the district’s plan to boost consumption and improve the quality of trade and services in the area. It will offer residents and tourists a shopping experience, entertainment activities, and dining options.
To maintain the urban landscape and create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors, businesses will not be allowed to use the sidewalk and roadside for their operations. Various payment methods will be accepted at the commercial quarter, but cashless payments through e-wallets and bank accounts are encouraged.
Currently, around 115 enterprises and households have registered to conduct business in this area, including food establishments, banks, hotels, karaoke bars, gyms, and yoga centers.
The development of the trading and service quarter will occur in three phases. The first phase, which begins this month, covers Vanh Dai Trong Street, extending from the Road 7 roundabout to Road 56.
The second phase, starting at the end of this year, will expand to include Road 7 and Road 1, while the third phase, scheduled for the first quarter of next year, will encompass Ten Lua Street and Road 17A.
