HCMC – Dong Nai Province is working with neighboring localities to carry out major transport projects worth tens of trillions of dong to enhance regional connectivity, particularly with HCMC, Binh Duong, and Binh Phuoc.

The provincial government said on June 7 that it plans to allocate around VND11 trillion for the Cat Lai and Dong Nai 2 bridges to strengthen links with HCMC. Another VND11 trillion will be earmarked for the Ma Da Bridge and the road connecting to Binh Phuoc.

Dong Nai will also invest about VND2 trillion in building Hieu Liem, Thanh Hoi, Xom La, Tan An, and Tan Hien bridges to enhance connectivity with Binh Duong.

The southern province will also allocate funds for land clearance for the HCMC Beltway No. 4 project.

The province is expected to need around VND18 trillion in the coming years to develop the provincial roads No. 769, 770B, and 773, aimed at linking local areas to Long Thanh International Airport.

It also plans to implement an elevated road project along National Highway 51 under a build-operate-transfer (BOT) contract, at an estimated cost of over VND12 trillion.

Given the large capital requirements, Dong Nai will seek support from the central Government and mobilize funding through land resources and other legal channels.

The province looks to begin work on several connectivity projects by the end of this year.
