HCMC – The first dengue fever vaccine, approved by the Ministry of Health, will be circulated in Vietnam starting from September.
Qdenga vaccine, manufactured by Takeda, will be the first dengue fever vaccine launched in the Vietnamese market. The vaccine is expected to enhance the effectiveness of dengue fever prevention among residents.
The vaccine will be available at select vaccination centers across the country from September 2024.
To date, the vaccine has obtained approval from over 30 countries, including the European Union member states, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Argentina, Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia.
Qdenga vaccine is developed and manufactured by Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited, a multinational pharmaceutical company headquartered in Japan.
