HCMC – A fishing boat has been apprehended while sailing in the Ba Ria-Vung Tau territorial waters with approximately 60,000 liters of diesel oil onboard.
The Coast Guard Region 3 yesterday, June 29, initiated an investigation into Huynh Tan Kiet, a resident of Quang Ngai Province, for unlawfully transporting 60,000 liters of diesel oil.
During a patrol on June 25, a suspicious fishing boat with the registration number TG 93698 TS was discovered by the patrol boat. Captain Kiet, who was in control of the vessel, failed to provide any invoices or documents to clarify the origin of the oil found on the fishing boat.
As a result, the patrol team issued a written record of administrative violation to the captain and escorted the boat to the coastal city of Vung Tau for further investigation.
