HCMC – Hanoi-based software developer FPT Corporation has recently opened a software development center in Nanning City in southern China, its second business facility in the northern neighboring country following the first one that opened in Shanghai in 2017.
The firm plans to employ 200 people for the new office in the next two years. FPT’s operations in the city will cover automotive technology, semiconductor, finance and healthcare.
FPT plans to establish educational cooperation with local universities and technology institutions.
Nanning, the capital of China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is deemed favorable for the operations of FPT Corp, including local human resources and its proximity to Vietnam. There are roughly 90,000 technology engineers and students in Guangxi.
FPT has over 3,800 experts and specialists in the automobile software sector globally. In 2022, FPT posted growth of 40% for its auto technology solutions.
This year, the Vietnamese corporation is eyeing US$1 billion in revenue from sales of software overseas.
