HCMC – The 14th Green Consumption Campaign has commenced in HCMC, aiming to promote the use of eco-friendly products and foster new consumption habits in society.
This campaign aligns with the “National Strategy on Green Growth Towards Sustainable Development in HCMC in the 2021-2030 period.” It is organized annually by Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper and the Saigon Union of Trading Cooperatives (Saigon Co.op).
The organizers plan various activities centered around environmental and social responsibility. They will also help consumers identify eco-friendly products and businesses that excel in environmental protection.
Saigon Co.op will offer substantial discounts and allocate dedicated display areas for eco-friendly products.
Le Truong Son, vice general director of Saigon Co.op, said that their entire retail system, including Co.opmart, Co.opXtra, Co.op Food, Co.op Smile, Cheers and Finelife, will collaborate with reputable brands to launch numerous initiatives and programs focused on environmental protection.
As part of the campaign, the Green Trade Forum 2023 with the theme “Green Trade – Challenges and Development Prospects of Enterprises” will be held on June 14. The forum aims to raise public awareness about the green economy and circular economy. Experts in the field of green economy and environmental protection are expected to participate actively.
