Ha Giang landslide kills at least 10

HCMC – A landslide buried a passenger van carrying 16 people on National Highway 34 in Ha Giang Province early this morning, July 13, leaving at least 10 people dead.

The accident took place at 4 a.m. on National Highway 34 in Yen Dinh Commune, Bac Me District.

Upon receiving the news, the Traffic Police Department of Ha Giang Province immediately mobilized forces to search for the buried victims.

By 8 a.m. on July 13, rescuers recovered the body of the 58-year-old driver, a resident of Ha Giang City.

By noon, Bac Me District authorities told Tuoi Tre Online that rescuers had found the body of the 10th victim.
