Habeco to pay 15% cash dividend for 2022

HCMC – Hanoi Beer Alcohol And Beverage Joint Stock Corporation, or Habeco (HOSE, ticker: BHN), has announced it will pay a cash dividend for 2022 at a ratio of 15%, with the shareholders’ list to be finalized on August 16.

Under the plan, shareholders will get VND1,500 for each share held. The dividend payment is scheduled for October 15.

With around 231.8 million outstanding shares, the firm will spend around VND348 billion on the dividend payment.

Regarding Habeco’s business performance, the company achieved net revenue of VND2,306 billion in the second quarter of 2024, up by 11% year-on-year. After deducting expenses and taxes, Habeco’s net profit reached VND172 billion, down by 9% compared to the same period last year.

In the first six months of 2024, Habeco’s net revenue totaled VND3,614 billion, a rise of 11% versus the year-ago period. The net profit reached VND151 billion, down by 18%.

Closing the trading session today, August 1, BHN remained unchanged from yesterday’s session, at VND38,500, with 2,500 shares transacted.

On the southern bourse, widespread selling drove the VN-Index down by 24.55 points, or 1.96% day-on-day, closing at 1,226.96 points. The Hochiminh Stock Exchange saw only 45 stocks advancing and 423 others declining, with 33 stocks hitting their floor prices.

More than 897.2 million shares worth VND21.4 trillion were traded on bourse, up by nearly 20% in volume and 22% in value against yesterday’s session. Block deal transactions contributed around VND1.12 trillion to the overall value.

Among the blue-chip stocks in the V30 basket, only VCB and SSB were in positive territory. VCB rose by 1.7% to VND90,700, while SSB inched up by 0.7% to VND21,950.

The remaining 28 stocks fell, with BCM hitting its floor price with a 7% drop to VND67,900, followed by GVR, down by 4.9% to VND31,400; SSI, down by 4.7% to VND30,300; and MBB, down by 4.1% to VND23,000.

On the northern exchange, the HNX-Index dropped by 6.13 points, or 2.61%, to 229.23 points. The total trading volume was over 95.5 million shares, with a value of VND1.8 trillion.
