HCMC – Passenger traffic at Giap Bat and My Dinh stations in Hanoi is expected to rise by as much as 350% compared to regular days.
At Giap Bat Station, daily bus trips are projected between 850 and 900. During peak days, outbound passengers are expected to reach around 20,000 per day, while inbound ones may total about 10,000 per day. The surge is mainly on routes to Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, and Thanh Hoa.
At My Dinh Station, passenger numbers are estimated at 22,000 per day outbound and 12,000 inbound, with over 950 bus trips daily, mostly serving routes to Hoa Binh, Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Dien Bien, Son La, Lai Chau, Quang Ninh, and Cao Bang.
Meanwhile, Gia Lam Station is forecasted to see a roughly 250% increase in passenger traffic compared to normal days.
Hanoi Transport Station JSC said an additional 1,000 buses will be deployed, including 324 at Giap Bat, 146 at Gia Lam, and 530 at My Dinh. The additional services will be allocated by day and route, depending on passenger demand.
Passenger and bus volumes are expected to surge from August 28 to 30 for both departures and arrivals, peak on September 1 and 2, and gradually decline on September 3 and 4.
