HCMC – The HCMC Center for Disease Control (HCDC) yesterday afternoon, January 19, issued an urgent announcement to locate people linked to an Omicron case in the city, including all passengers that traveled on the same flights as the case.
The city yesterday reported its first three locally-infected Omicron cases that were all linked to an imported case. This imported case had entered Vietnam via two flights—Flight VN5409 arriving at the Cam Ranh International Airport from South Korea on January 7 and Flight VN1345 from Cam Ranh to HCMC on January 10.
HCDC required all the passengers traveling on the two flights to contact the local medical stations in their areas to receive anti-Covid guidelines and take a Covid test.
