Must read

HCMC – The HCMC steering committee for Covid-19 infection prevention and control on September 20 issued safety requirements for local transport enterprises, regulating that they must meet six to 10 Covid-19 prevention criteria to be allowed to resume operations.

There are specific criteria for cargo and transport services on roads, inland waterways and railways and by air.

Enterprises transporting goods on roads and waterways must meet six criteria, including two important ones: drivers and driving assistants must have received at least one Covid-19 shot for at least 14 days or have recovered from Covid-19 and have a valid negative Covid-19 test certificate.

In addition, enterprises must comply with anti-pandemic measures and be equipped with hand sanitizers.

As for road and inland waterway passenger transport, firms must meet 10 criteria. Besides the criteria on vaccination and testing, air conditioners on vehicles must not be used and the number of passengers must not exceed half of their capacity.

Meanwhile, rail and air transport service providers will comply with anti-pandemic regulations issued earlier by the Ministry of Transport. Their employees must get vaccinated and undergo regular tests.

According to the municipal anti-Covid steering committee, enterprises must meet all criteria for their segments to be allowed to resume operations.

Based on their missions and functions, state management agencies will inspect and monitor if enterprises are following the criteria and handle violations, if any.
